Hartwell & Rowe was founded in 2012 by two CPAs who kept watching the same thing happen: small-business owners handing their accountant a shoebox in March and getting back a tax bill in April — with no conversation in between about the decisions that created that bill. We built the firm around the conversation.

Every client gets a dedicated CPA (not a rotating cast of preparers), quarterly check-ins where we look forward instead of backward, and flat annual pricing agreed in writing before the work starts. When you call with a question, the meter is not running — questions are how problems get caught early.

Today we serve more than 900 businesses and families across the Front Range, from single-member LLCs to companies with $20M in revenue. We're deliberately not the cheapest firm in Denver. We are the one that calls you in October about the move that saves you five figures in April.
